Dear David's Corolla:
I know I haven't always been that nice to you and I would like to apologize. I'm sorry I am always so quick to dismiss you and I hope you can understand where I have been coming from. It seems like we are constantly pouring money into you and you aren't being very nice to us in return.
Today we dropped a four digit number on you to help make you feel better. Please keep that in mind and help us out by not having anything else go wrong. We would like to save for a new car and still use you as regular transportation in the meantime. And don't worry, when we do decide to get a new car we just aren't going to through you away, but we will make sure you have a new loving home.
You have been a wonderful car and have helped to build memories for David and for our family. Thank you!

P.S. I know it will be a bit before we get a new car, but I'm thinking something along the lines of a Toyota Highlander or a Honda Pilot. Both of those cars are pretty pricey so we will have to cut back and save lots!
