I said I wasn't going to do it. I wasn't going to go to the store at midnight to get the new Stephanie Meyer book, but I just couldn't help myself.
So Friday night at about 11:30 Angela (a co-worker of David's and a great friend who likes to play with LD) came over so I could go to Barnes and Noble and get my book.
I pulled into the parking lot (which was completely full) and went inside to get my wristband. Since I had reserved a copy I was given a red wristband and would get my book before anyone who just showed up. However, because I got there so late the letter on my wristband was X. There were groups of 25 people for each letter of the alphabet.
I didn't get into the store (they ushered us outside just before midnight) until about 1. I went in, got my book and then started to read it as I walked into our apartment. I finished chapter 1, but then for some weird reason LD started to cry in his crib. I had to take care of him so there was no more reading.
Now that it is late Saturday afternoon I have officially read the first two chapters. I know that I am not as fast as a reader as others, but I am enjoying the book and pick it up every spare second I have.
Speaking of which ... I think I am going to go to the gym and read while I am on the treadmill.
