To be honest, I suck at it!
I have great intentions, but I have about the same five meals that I can cook and enjoy so if something new is on the menu I find some way of getting out of it.
Not this week! I already have the eating out built in and I'm stinkin' determined to cut down our food costs. We spend way too much money at the grocery store and at fast food (and sit down) places. I want so bad to be out of debt and now is the time that we are going to get there!
And with that ... here is my menu for the week:
Monday ... Nuggets or hot dogs
Tuesday ... Vegas Town Square
Wednesday ... Emma's choice (probably something at the hotel)
Thursday ... Rice and Beans (from $5 Dinners)
Friday ... Mexican bean soup with Spanish rice (from $5 Dinners)
Saturday ... Chicken and pasta (I usually just cut some a couple of chicken breasts and cook them on the Forman and season them with my Pappy's seasoning. I then cook up some yummy pasta straight from Italy and coat it all with some alfredo sauce from Ragu. Super easy and tasty!)
Sunday ... Hot dogs
There you go! My menu for the week of June 4-10. The one thing I need to work on is side dishes. I'm not very good at these, but I am starting to believe how important they are to rounding out a menu and controlling how much I actually eat.
